Two airplanes and Papa is back in New York

So...I quickly ate thanksgiving dinner, studied some more and then sat down to watch the Jimmy Stewart Classic: "It's a wonderful life". Alice Giauque, my mother in law cried along with us when Stewart comes back and wishes a merry Christmas to the Movie House and merry Christmas you ol' building and loan. Even Sylvia liked it. It was nice to spend time with uncle Rod and the Giauque family.

Back in the swing of things...

We are on the precipice of excitement. Vivian gets baptized soon in February, Sylvia is about to turn ten in December and Benjamin and the family will be moving to Buffalo, NY in February 2018. So what has happened since last we wrote:

*A lot of Lost teeth
*Another 2.5 years in Puerto Rico for Anesthesia School
*Royal Eli Benjamin Kay was born in Tucson Arizona
*Benjamin worked as a travel nurse in Tucson, Buffalo and Rochester
*Shawna started pre-k in Puerto Rico
*All three did home schooling during the fall of 2015 in Hatillo
*Nicky served as a ward and stake Young Women's counsellor
*Benjamin served as young men's president (including assistant scout master), ward clerk and Sunday school president.
*They currently serve in the Bountiful 50th ward as primary teachers.
*Vivian suffered a serious burn on her leg from a friend who took ramen noodles off the stove and tripped.
*Many enjoyable days were spent swimming at the Saldinera Beach
*so much more we will report more soon.

At the dentist

We went to the dentist a few months back and the girls did very well.  I think they are finally letting go of some of their fear of the dentist.  Maybe it's the dentist.  That helped too. If and when they get cavities I'm sure they will have a new-found fear of dentist.  Let's cross our fingers and keep brushing.

Quick trip to Buffalo

For our anniversary Benjamin surprised me with a little trip.  We drove a mere 24 hours to get to Buffalo for a couple of days and turned right back around to get back to Texas in time for Benjamin to go back to work.  It was a little crazy but we had a good time.  We went to the Buffalo Science Museum.  The girls loved it.

They loved the butterfly wings

A day at the park

The girls love going to the park...any park.  This one we went to in early February.  The weather was great.  We love our three girls.

Trampoline

We have arrived!  We have reached the epitome of middle-class America now that we have a big trampoline.  We bought it used for $25.  Benjamin wasn't sure the size of it when he contacted the guy who was selling it.  He was surprised when he saw the big metal poles.  The girls love it of course.  Here are a few of some of their very first attempts.

Vivian gets bounced around a lot when the two of them jump together so she will really only jump if she can do it by herself.  They love having their parents jump with them.

Catching up- Vivian's Birthday

I realized I haven't posted anything since two days before Vivian's birthday...so here are some pics from the event.  We had a very small party for her.  I think it was just Cecilia Weenig and her mom.  Vivian wanted a butterfly cake like Sylvia had the month before for her birthday.  It's great that kids don't need much to be happy...usually anyway.  We love our little Viv.
